Where Delightfully Healthy Food and Health Conscious People Meet!
Every Saturday, we set up our own Produce Stand at the farm at 1104 E. 9th Dr from 7-11 AM. We also currently have a Produce stand at the Down Town Mesa Farmers Market on the corner of Main and Center. It is the same time from 7-11 AM.
Starting July 24th, Produce Stand at the farm and downtown will be on hold until the late summer and early fall crops come on. Through our weekly email we will keep you posted on our progress and what we are planting. If you do not receive it, you can sign up below.
We love this chance to get to know our neighbors and share our delicious, organically grown food! Depending on the season, everything we grow, plus some local goods produced by others, is available for sale. Purple cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas, radishes, turnips, chard, spinach, red Russian kale, salanova lettuce, red leaf spinach, romaine lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, luffas, honeynut squash, butternut squash, zucchini, and more!
When Green City Harvest was first created by Farmer James, he would go around the neighborhood dropping off flyers that he called "fresh sheets." The term has stuck! If you want deliciously fresh veggies, Sign up for our weekly newsletter which contains our current Fresh Sheet. Gain access to the Fresh Sheet by clicking the link below. We will send you the email each Wednesday that contains the Fresh Sheet. Fill out the Special Order/Fresh Sheet which is a list of what we are currently providing. And then pick it up on Friday or Saturday.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The easiest way to think of a CSA is Netflix, but instead of flicks, you get fresh, delicious vegetables grown in your local community. Of all the subscriptions you're paying for, this might be the most beneficial to you (in our humble opinion). Each CSA member purchases a share in Green City Harvest, and in return, you get weekly access to naturally grown produce.
At the heart of it all, a CSA is a community of healthy and environmentally conscious people coming together to share in the bounties and risks of their local farmer. Joining a CSA is a commitment to a healthy lifestyle for yourself, your community, and the land around you. Join Green City Harvest CSA and experience Community Supported Agriculture in the heart of Mesa.
Why Should I Join a CSA?
Besides the obvious ease and convenience of healthy food being delivered right to your door, joining a CSA comes with some great perks for you, the farmer, and your area.
You get access to a large variety of produce guaranteed to have amazing taste and unparalleled freshness. Our produce is always herbicide and pesticide free. It is grown on a small farm, so you will be supporting Green City Harvest directly and not a third-party middle man.
By participating in Green City Harvest's CSA, you allow the farmers to spend more time in the area of their expertise--growing food. This means that they are spending less time trying to sell what they produce, which is really a win-win for all of us!
Integrated cropping benefits the soil and produces fresh and healthy food for you and your family. Eating locally grown crops also reduces high transportation and storage costs. What the farmer saves gets passed on to you. And in the process, everyone helps the environment.
