Farmer James

James Carroll is a farm boy at heart. He grew up in a small town in Idaho where his parents sold the dairy farm to move to Gilbert, AZ during his Senior year in high school. So while James technically cannot claim the title of "Arizona Native" he sure knows and loves the state that he has called home for the last 40 years. When James isn't working at the farm or hanging out with family, you'll find him knitting while watching the sports highlights. James has always been a gardener, but once all of his kids were moved out of the house, he had time to turn his hobby into a bonafide business. Thus, Green City Harvest was born. 

Farmer Ray

Ray Speakman has always been an entrepreneur at heart with a drive to affect the lives of others for the better.  He grew up on a chicken farm in Cottonwood, Arizona with 5000 chickens, as well as cows, horses, and large gardens.  After moving to Mesa with his parents in the mid 1960’s, he married his wonderful wife. After a series of different businesses and 8 children he ended up working for an international plant nutrition manufacturing company as their VP of Marketing.  It was there that he fell in love with agriculture and the effect it has on individual lives and mother earth. In June of 2017, with a neighbor and prolific gardener, farmer James, Ray started Green City Harvest in the middle of Mesa. His family, friends and area neighborhoods are enjoying the farm as they have watched it grow and enjoy the benefits of eating the delightfully delicious and healthy food. 

Cx Manager Kimber

Kimber Bassett was born and raised in Mesa, AZ. But she has lived in lots of different places. Alaska and Portugal are two of her favorites. She loves listening to different languages, learning about different cultures, and going shopping. She's always on the lookout to try new things-especially food. Kimber is graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Experience Design. Her whole goal in life is to help people have the best experience possible. She is the proud momma of a one-year-old little boy who makes her smile non-stop. One of Kimber's favorite things to do is play catch with her smoking hot husband.
